- Two Children Only:- There is another condition for this scholarship to get the benefits of this condition, which is that this scholarship is available only to a maximum of two children from one family.
- Valid Registration Required:- The parent of the student must hold an official BOC ID/ registration card, which is registered officially with the Odisha Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
- Family Condition:- In such a situation where both parents hold worker registration, then in this condition, only one parent can get the assistant for a child because the board does not permit separate applications from both of the parents for the same child.

Selection, Verification & Disbursement Process
- School Attendance Rule:- In this scholarship, firstly, the headmaster of the school checks the pre-metric applications of the student by verifying the attendance requirement, which is 50%, and once they succeed in verifying the forms, then forward for further processing.
- College Verification:- After that, the head of the college verifies the roll number and admission status of eligible students.
- Certify Worker Status: Once the college verification is over, the welfare extension officer will check the recommendation from schools, and after reviewing them carefully, certify the status of the workers.
- Sends Approval:- After certifying the workers’ status that District Labour Officer (DLO) verifies everything on the online e Shramik portal, and then they’ll send the names of approved students to the collector for finishing the payment successfully.
- Payment Transfer Mode:- This is the last step in which the board transfers the cash reward through one of the most likely used methods, called “Direct Bank Transfer” mode, into the bank accounts of selected wards.

- Visit Official OSSP Portal:- First of all, the applicant needs to visit the official Odisha State Scholarship Portal to apply for the same.
- Locate Scheme:- Once the applicant is on the homepage of the official portal, then needs to go to the ‘Scheme’ option and look for the Nirmal Shramik Kalyan Yojana option.
- Register Yourself:- After that, the applicant needs to click on the ” Apply Now ” option. As the applicant clicks, a new page will appear on the screen. If the applicant doesn’t have an account on this portal, then needs to click on the register now option. - Get and Enter OTP:- After entering the Aadhaar, the applicant needs to click on the Get OTP option, and as the applicant clicks, an OTP will be triggered on the applicant’s registered mobile number. The applicant needs to enter the OTP.
- Provide Details:- Now the applicant needs to enter all the details, such as personal details, academic details, and bank information, and click on the save button.
